Lab monitoring

Using peptide therapy? Make lab data part of the conversation.

Peptide products and protocols vary widely. SMS Medical provides laboratory testing so patients and their healthcare professionals can follow relevant biomarkers when monitoring is clinically appropriate.

Important: SMS Medical does not recommend, prescribe or endorse peptide therapy through this page. The appropriate tests and testing frequency depend on the specific therapy, dose, health history and clinician's judgment.

Why laboratory monitoring may matter

Some therapies can affect measurable markers in the body. When a healthcare professional determines that monitoring is appropriate, serial laboratory results can help establish a baseline, observe changes over time and support informed clinical decisions.

What tests are used for monitoring?

There is no single “peptide panel” that is appropriate for everyone. Depending on the substance and clinical situation, a provider may order tests such as a complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid testing, glucose-related markers, hormone-related testing or other targeted biomarkers.

How often should testing be done?

Testing frequency should be individualized by a qualified healthcare professional. Some people may be tested before starting a therapy and again at intervals selected by their clinician. A fixed monthly schedule is not appropriate for every person or every peptide.
